The building where several organisational units that support the operation are in the Contumil complex near Porto will undergo a transformation to increase its energy and other resource efficiency.
The project to improve the energy efficiency of the Contumil building aims to increase the building's energy rating from C to A by implementing several measures, such as changing the light fittings to LED technology, installing a boiler for domestic hot water and managing and monitoring electricity and water consumption.
After the intervention, it is estimated that the building, with a total area of 5,597.68 square metres, will have an Energy Efficiency Indicator of 101.6 kWhep / square metre per year, which, through a reduction in primary energy of around 26.56 tonnes of oil equivalent per year, will reduce primary energy consumption by 54.3%.
This project is co-financed by the Environmental Fund under the Recovery and Resilience Programme.
