Replacement bus service between Coimbra and Guarda.
With the progress of the works to modernise the Beira Alta Line, as of 25 November 2024 , we will restore the rail passenger service between Celorico da Beira and Vilar Formoso, with improved levels of quality, comfort and safety.
Connections to the Intercidades and Regional trains on the Coimbra-Guarda route will continue to be provided by a replacement bus service.

CP Services: Intercidades | Regional and InterRegional
Connections to Intercity and Regional trains on the Coimbra-Guarda-Vilar Formoso route will be made using the replacement bus service.
Tickets for the bus routes, available only in 2nd class, are on sale at the online ticket office, CP App, CP ticket offices,
Online ticket office, CP App, CP ticket offices, Omio, travel agencies and onboard the buses.
Seats are not booked on the buses and passengers can sit where they like.
The replacement bus service cannot carry wheelchairs or bicycles.
Small pets are allowed if the animal is in an appropriate container that can be carried as hand luggage. Passengers are responsible for the animal's container during the journey and are solely responsible for any damage caused.
The transport of assistance dogs for people with disabilities is also allowed.
